Disposable coveralls in hot weather: buyer and workplace considerations

When planning coverall use in hot Middle Eastern workplaces, assess the heat load of the whole job and equipment ensemble. Our disposable coveralls are not heat-protective clothing and have no verified thermal protection claim.

Can coveralls increase heat strain?

OSHA notes that impermeable clothing and head coverings can increase heat-illness risk. Do not use a material name or garment color as evidence that a worker can safely tolerate a given temperature or shift length.

What should the site plan cover?

Prioritize reducing the heat and physical workload. Plan cooler rest areas, appropriate breaks, drinking water, acclimatization for new or returning workers, and work scheduling for cooler hours where possible. Use a buddy system and an emergency response plan. Local conditions and the employer's assessment must determine the work/rest schedule; there is no single safe wear-time rule on this page.

What should procurement confirm?

Request the actual garment specification and fit sample. Evaluate the coverall with any required gloves, footwear and respiratory equipment. Ask for relevant comfort and barrier data; do not assume that all PP+PE films or flash-spun fabrics perform alike. We have not published measured heat-comfort comparisons for our models.

Do not trade protection for comfort

If the job requires certified hazard protection, choose equipment with the necessary evidence. Do not rely on the uncertified garments offered here for such work. Removal or adjustment of required equipment must follow the site's safe-work procedure in a safe area.
